Hello Friends and Family,
Double D's Great Adventure for 2016 takes us to South Africa. Lions and cheetahs, and elephants, Oh My!
Our trip will begin on March 27th with a cruise on Holland America's Eurodam to Barcelona, Spain. Stops on the way will include Funchal, Madeira, Portugal; Cadiz, Spain; Malaga, Spain; and Cartagena, Spain.
We will spend a day in Barcelona before flying to Johannesburg, South Africa where we will rent small RV's and tour the countryside for about 16 days with stops at Kruger National Park, a game reserve, and several cultural villages.
We turn the RV's in and fly to Victoria Falls for about 3 days, than to Capetown, South Africa, to see wine country, Robbins Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, the jackass penguins at the bottom of the continent, and back home again on May 8th.
Packing for this adventure is a challenge. We've had lots of shots, packed our malaria pills and travelers diarrhea remedies, so we should be good to go. :)
